The Men's side competes in Division III of the Ohio Rugby Union in the Midwest Rugby Football Union. The Women's side competes against Division II women's clubs and collegiate sides in the region. Our distinguished Old Boys compete in tournaments and the annual match against the Men's side. New players and spectators are always welcome to join, with or without prior experience. Prom on the Pitch

The Akron Women's rugby team is stepping it up a notch with the hosting of its 5th annual Prom on the Pitch on May 12th with all proceeds going to the local Battered Women's Shelter. Come watch the ladies of rugby tug on taffeta and silk in a surreal moment where femininity and brutality will collide. After the event stay and enjoy a social with food, beverages, and a great time for an even better cause!

In addition to monetary donations, the following items can also be donated to the cause: Bedding, toiletries, toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, soap, cell phones and chargers, toilet paper, non-perishable foods, kleenex, trash bags, stamps, and cleaning supplies. No clothes donations please.

Concessions will be available as well as an opportunity to buy a T-shirt for the cause and take your very own “prom” photo. Matches will begin at 11:00AM. For any questions, please contact Brigitte Ford or Renee Whittenberger.
